Eyebrow & Beard Hair Restoration

Though often taken for granted, hair of the face is essential to the make-up of your facial features. The shape of your eyebrows, the density of your beard, even the length of your side burns can make drastic differences in your appearance, both for yourself and to others.

There are many different causes for facial hair loss and an evaluation of medical history and examination is necessary prior to any hair restoration procedure. Some of the most common causes of facial hair loss are listed below:

- Aggressive over tweezing
- Skin conditions that cause permanent hair loss such as alopecia areata
- Scarring due to burns, surgery, or other trauma

Like hair restoration of the head, facial hair restoration involves the removal of a strip from the donor hair, microscopic dissection, and recipient site preparation and placement. Click here for procedure details.

Eyebrow Hair Restoration

Unlike hair restoration of the head, eyebrow transplantation requires the use of single hair follicular units. Two and three hair follicular units that can be utilized in scalp restoration must be dissected into single follicular units in order to maintain a natural appearance on the face. Duplicating follicular singularity, directional changes, and angles of eyebrow hair are critical for a successful procedure.

Depending on the size of the area to be transplanted, more than one transplant session may be required.

See eyebrow hair restoration picture.

Beard & Side Burn Hair Restoration

Like traditional hair restoration of the scalp, side burn and beard transplantation utilizes the natural occurring one to three hair follicular units, found in the scalp.
Again, depending on the size of the area to be transplanted and the desired density, more than one transplant session may be required.
